Congratulations to Barry Scollo who was awarded the 2009 British Tennis AEGON Coach of the Year Award by the LTA at a prestigious ceremony at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton. Barry was nominated for the Coach of the Year Award for his ‘contagious energy’ for tennis and received the award from Derek Howarth president of the LTA and Ian Murray, Head of Sponsorship at AEGON. In total 10 awards were presented on the day, other winners included Andy Murray (Player of the Year) and Heather Watson (Junior Player of the Year).

On winning his award Barry said “I’m absolutely honoured and it is fantastic recognition for the whole team and all their hard work. I am in a fortunate position to lead such a brilliant team at the University of Bath and to work closely with the MCTA, LTA and University. We have a very ambitious tennis programme at the University of Bath and it’s an exciting time for us.”

The TeamBath Tennis Programme was accredited as an International High performance Centre in July 2009, confirming its place as one of the top four tennis training centres in the country. This made the partnership with the MCTA group possible.

The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world.
